Peanut Brittle

This is one of my very favorite treats ever.

1 1/2 c sugar
1 c water
1 c corn syrup
Boil until softball stage then add
3 T butter
1 lb raw peanuts
Bring to hard ball stage. The peanuts should smell cooked and it will look amber. Take off heat then add
1 t water
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 t baking soda
Pour on two greased cookie sheets and spread thin. It is really yummy.

    Aside from a penchant for eye rolling, we also have something else in common: making peanut brittle with Sam. :)

    Thanks for sharing the recipe! I think there should be a Sam-friendly label on all the recipes so we can know what to make Sam for dinner.

  2. I am glad that you like making peanut brittle with Samantha as well! It is a good idea to have a Sam friendly label. We should start that. The low fodmap label is Sam friendly. Mostly I think we need to put more dinner ideas on.
