Chocolate Ice Cream Shell

This is a lot of fun!  Perfect for a birthday party or family get-together.  Especially fun with GF ice cream cones, as shown in the picture.  It stores well at room temperature in a closed container.  Just heat gently in the microwave to return it to a liquid.

1/4 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
2/3 cup chopped dairy-free chocolate
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Melt the chocolate and oil in the microwave.  Do this in 30 second bursts, stirring in between.  It should only take a minute or so.  Stir in the vanilla and cocoa powder.  Cool to room temperature.  It will harden when poured on ice cream.  You can add in a few drops of peppermint, orange, or another oil to give it a delicious twist.

This was originally from America's Test Kitchen.
